A few words in “The Ikigai Journey” really resonated with me. The idea of rediscovering a passion from childhood or the teenage years feels very meaningful. Perhaps that passion has been quietly waiting in the background while we focused on building careers, growing up, finding a partner, raising children, and dealing with the responsibilities of everyday life.
This is something I have been thinking about a lot this summer. Looking back, I realise how much I have always loved adventure, exploring new things, using my imagination, and seeing the world through other people's eyes.At the same time, I wonder if some of these parts of myself have been pushed aside by the routines and demands of daily life. Reading the book has reminded me that they are still there, waiting to be rediscovered.
