A lovely October afternoon spent on a peaceful walk with my wife through Dyrehaven – one of Denmark’s most beautiful natural parks, just north of Copenhagen. The air was crisp and refreshing, perfect for clearing the mind and letting thoughts wander freely. We walked, talked, and took in the colourful autumn scenery, with horse-drawn carriages passing by and deer roaming freely among the trees.
Originally established in the 17th century as a royal hunting ground, Dyrehaven – officially Jægersborg Dyrehave – is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Home to over 2,000 free-roaming deer and the iconic Hermitage Hunting Lodge, it’s a place where history, nature, and tranquillity come together in perfect harmony.
